Job Summary & Key Responsibilities
The sessional lecturer will teach a one-half credit course, HESA 6361, Business Law in the Healthcare Context, in the graduate-level Healthcare Law Certificate for Non-lawyers during the winter term (January-April 2022).  This is a fully online course, delivered using TEAMS, including one evening synchronous lecture per week.   For the course description please refer to the Dalhousie Academic Calendar.   Responsibilities include: all aspects of teaching and administering the course; course preparation including course content for lectures, test/assignments/exam preparation and evaluation/marking of student course work, as well as, providing tutorial support to students.  The Sessional Lecturer is the Professor of Record for this course.  The position reports to the Director of the School.
Qualifications/Requirements of Position
Juris Doctor (JD) and knowledge of business law are required.  Relevant teaching experience is a strong asset.  Experience with Brightspace and/or online learning is strong asset.  Pedagogical and technical support will be available from the School’s Curriculum and Evaluation Coordinator.
