Rights and Protection

By the Nova Scotia Labour Board Act and other laws such as the Health and Safety Act and the Labour Standards Code, all people employed in the province of Nova Scotia have certain rights and privileges, as well as obligations.

In addition, our Collective Agreements provide for additional rights and privileges which pertain specifically to our working environment.

If at any time you feel your rights are not being respected, contact your union representative immediately!

Be prepared and learn now what is necessary to file a grievance. Your union is here to help you.
