The part-time academic will be responsible for teaching the field and lab intensive MARI 3627.03, “Biology and Conservation of Sharks, Skates and Rays”. The course will be offered in person during the Summer session, August 11 – August 30, 2022, Monday through Friday, 0905-1655. Responsibilities include all aspects of teaching and administering the course, including lectures, labs, field trips, test preparation, and evaluation of tests and reports. The part-time academic will also be responsible for preparing a budget in consultation with the program director and keeping field-related expenses within the approved budget. A graduate degree in Biology or related field and research experience directly related to the topic of the course. The Part-time Academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching, grading and administration of MARA 5011.03 Contemporary Issues in Ocean and Coastal Management Part 2 including planning and directing classroom-based activities, marking assignments and providing office hours support to the students as required during the winter term.
